| | Adur Athletic... COUNTY CHAMPIONS! |
Congratulations to our Under 14 Team. On Sunday 4th April 2004 they beat local rivals Thistle Youth 2-1 to win the prestigious Sussex County FA C.P. Mason Cup at Lancing. No fewer than 69 teams from all over Sussex entered this competition, and in the seven games played in the earlier rounds and final Adur scored an incredible 64 goals and conceded only 10.
A great double by the Under 14s who had earlier won the Arun & District Youth Football League Under 14 A Division Championship. Unfortunately, our U10-A and 9 teams both lost their finals on 28th March, but both teams did very well to reach the finals. Perhaps, next year, they will go one better.
